Rob Swanson founded the company straight after completing his carpentry apprenticeship and has been building for twenty years, with years of that spent building high end homes for other builders before specialising in renovations. Master Builders member, and winner of the 2025 Master Builders Brisbane Region Award for Best Renovation and Remodelling Project in the $300,000 to $450,000 category. We take on large scale renovations and extensions on homes people intend to stay in.

I’m Rob Swanson, and I started this company straight after finishing my carpentry apprenticeship. From the moment I went out on my own, the motivation behind what we do today was the same as it was back then—do it better. We spent years building high-end homes for other builders, sharpening our skills and learning what worked (and what didn’t).
But I was always drawn to expert home renovations. I loved the diversity, the challenges, and the more personal experience they offered. No two projects were ever the same. That passion led us to specialise in this space—and 20 years later, Swanson Constructions has evolved into the renovation company we are today.
